The following terms and conditions apply in case you decide to book and pay for one of our paid services through this website. Please read them carefully. Upon completing the booking and payment you declare you have read and agree with them.
The services made available to you through our websites are the Alternative Tour, the Communist Tour and the Culture Tour. Please refer to their respective pages on our website for details and specifics on their topics, starting and end points and times, duration, available days, as well as what your participation in them entails.
Keep in mind that booking and paying for a tour beforehand is not a mandatory requirement for your participation. You can always just show up at the starting point at the indicated time, join the tour and pay on the spot in cash.
Booking a Tour
You can book and pay for any and all of the aforementioned services by using the form, provided on our website. Their respective prices are indicated on the corresponding pages on our website. By booking and paying a tour through the form, provided on our website, you agree to all the conditions applicable.
Your booking is valid for the date and number of visitors you have indicated in our booking form. Keep in mind that children under the age of 14 are not charged for participation in the Communist Tour and Alternative Tour. A fee of BGN 3 (EUR 1.50) is required for children between the ages of 9 and 14 in order to cover expenses for food and drinks tasting. All minors (aged 17 or less in accordance with Bulgarian law) must be accompanied by an adult in order to be eligible for participation in our tours.
By booking a tour you declare you are legally entitled to do so and to execute the payment, and are at least 18 years of age.
Amending a Booking
As long as you have completed a valid booking, compliant to all conditions described above, we will charge no additional fees for amendments concerning the date of your participation, as long as you pick another date when the service in question is normally available. If you desire to do the tour outside of the dates and times, indicated on our website, this will be treated as a Private Tour, where other Terms and Conditions apply. Please contact us via email or phone to learn about those, should this be the case.
If you would like to amend the number of participants on your booking, be advised that additional guests will simply be charged as indicated on our website with no additional fees. If you would like to lower the number of participants on your booking, we will give you a refund in accordance with the number of guests who will not participate in the tour, with no additional fees, as long as you contact and inform us at least 24 hours in advance. In all other cases, we will be entitled to retain the already complete payment in its full amount.
Cancelling a Booking and Refunds
If you would like to cancel a booking, we will give you a full refund with no additional fees, as long as you contact and inform us at least 24 hours in advance. We will also give you a full refund if you have been prevented from using our services due to circumstances outside of your control, which will need to be described and proven to our satisfaction, or if you are dissatisfied with the quality of our service. Please note that for all intents and purposes, the term “quality of our service” as used in these Terms and Conditions, fully excludes the content, route and duration of the tour, as long as those comply with the service’s description on our website, as well as agreement or disagreement with your personal beliefs and subjective opinions. You will not be eligible for any refund in case you have decided not to participate in the tour, but have not informed us 24 hours in advance, or have not been objectively prevented from using the service. Cancellation after the date and time of the booked service will not result in a refund, full or partial, unless caused by a force majeure.
Personal Data Protection
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, we would like to inform you of the way we collect, process and store your personal data.
For the purposes of booking one of our paid services, we ask you to provide us with a name, email address and phone number. We ask for your name, so that our representative (guide) will be able to identify you at the tour and know that you have booked it. You DO NOT have to provide us with your full name, or even your real name. All we need is a word that you and our guide will both know, so that they can confirm you have showed up and have a booking. Your name (or whatever you choose to write in the ‘name’ box in the form) will be accessed by our Bookings Manager and shared with our guides.
We also ask for your email address and phone number. The reason we ask for this is so that we are able to contact you in case there are any (highly unlikely) changes or unforeseen circumstances regarding your booking. This information is only accessed by our Bookings Manager and is NOT shared with our guides.
We hereby declare that we have not, do not and will not share your personal data to third parties, unless required by law, and the ways and scope of its usage is described above in full.
